There have been a number of posts in the past about the central touch display screen going black, shutting down,and re-booting - thereby losing the clock settings etc. I have a 2015 Berlingo that has been doing this on and off for several months - sometimes every couple of weeks, sometimes every five minutes.
Mitsubishi Outlander: central locking no longer works on one of the doors. First try to lock the door by hand. If it doesn't show any complications, it shows that your system is in good working order. Your problem therefore stems from somewhere else upstream. In principle, this is a problem resulting from a short circuit.

All going well until I try and disconnect the wires from the switch - the last thing I need to do before pulling the barrel out. Problem is the wires go behind the casing

I can lock the doors manually but not with the fob or the interior locking button! The fob operates the immobilizer but none of the doors, it attempts to as you can here it click. If you have already done all this it is possible you have a faulty relay. The ones which control central locking are YH119 012-1z11-1A. One controls locking, the other unlocking. You can apply 12 volts to the coil and you should hear it click. You can test the resistance between the contact pins to see which one, if any, is faulty.
