This isn't a typical location for grounding cables anymore as it increases the potential stress on the cable. These engine ground cables are secured with 13mm nuts.

The specified torques are not high/tight. I measure them but it's essentially finger tight then a little wrist pressure for the oil plug and slightly more for the oil filter housing. As far as quick and simple, the Saab 900 (1981-1991) and Saab 9-3 (2003-2012) were the easiest in that no jacking or lifts were needed.

The text next to figure 13: "Replacing battery: Once installed, you will have to use a BMW scan tool to register green arrow the battery. A capable BMW shop can do this. I recommend doing it immediately after replacing your battery." implies I have to drive to a BMW dealer to register the new installed battery.
Someone recommended to me that it was my auxiliary battery that needs to be replaced as his car had similar issues before the replacement. I checked both of my batteries and the Aux is from early 2018 and Main is from late 2016 (so original to car). I also found fault code '2228C8' which says that the Auxiliary battery has, "considerably aged

The thing not mentioned by Hella is that BMW's with IBS (not a poo problem!) have a selective shut down facility whereby they turn off various functions to save battery power if a problem is suspected that is causing a low battery fault.
Rotate the bottom of the duct up, while disconnecting it from the under dash duct. Reach up from the right side footwell, if needed, to detach the opposite side of the duct. Note the removal position for reinstallation. Then remove the upper portion of the blower motor electrical connector from the blower motor housing.
Nothing but Problems with 530D. I bought the 2003 530D second hand imported from France in 2006. I am an American living and working in Romania, previously an employee of Toyota for 14 years. Now within the first month I had to replace the battery, OK maybe it was time. Then 6 months later the Alternator went, rebuilt it but only lasted a short A BMW 3 Series (F30) uses an 90 Ah AGM battery. This meansr the battery can give 1 hour of 90 Amp continuously. This is in a perfect world with battery @ 100% charge to begin with, normal state of charge in real life of a battery installed in car might be around 70%-7% especially BMW with smart charging system.
